Sales Manager
As the Sales Manager for Greenlight Optics, you will be responsible for generating new sales revenue for Greenlight Optics. The work will include identifying new opportunities, generating new leads through direct outreach and promoting Greenlight to target customers, converting leads into new sales, and managing customer relationships after the sale to ensure customer loyalty and to generate recommendations and referrals.
In addition to prospecting and consultative selling skills, we are seeking an individual who excels in teamwork, communication, and problem solving to join our team. The candidate must have the ability to work with both Greenlight and customer technical teams through various stages of optical system development projects. Work includes collaborating with Greenlight’s management and engineering teams to evaluate feasibility of new projects and candidate will support putting together program plans and proposals to best achieve each customer’s objectives. You will also have the opportunity to shape the company’s sales and marketing organization and strategy as we position Greenlight Optics for ongoing growth and profitability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify areas of business opportunity for Greenlight Optics
- Generate leads through proactive prospecting and positioning in target markets
- Convert leads into new sales
- Maximize business revenue and profits
- Act as a primary interface between company and customer
Additional Functions:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within target customer organizations
- Work with Managing Partners, engineers, and other company functions to deliver quotations, proposals, and process orders
- Support ongoing program success through regular communication of project status and customer needs
- Learn Greenlight Optics capabilities, competitive advantages, and work processes
- Learn customer platforms, products, projects, and components
- Promote Greenlight Optics through LinkedIn and other business-appropriate platforms
- Evaluate and implement process improvements such as CRM
- Travel for customer visits, prospecting, and trade shows
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- B2B technical sales experience
- Degree in Optics, Physics, Electronics, or relevant Engineering preferred
- Exceptional organization and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales and technical sales skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong business ethics
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to opportunity identification
- Familiarity with CRM systems
Education:
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
